KATA PENUNJUK

· This/ that , these/those

Singular [tunggal] : This is an apple [ini adalah sebuah apel; dekat dengan yang berbicara]

That is an apple [itu adalah sebuah apel; jauh dari yang berbicara]

Plural [jamak] : These are apples [ini adalah apel; dekat dengan yang berbicara dan apel nya lebih dari satu]

Those are apples [itu adalah apel; jauh dari yang berbicara dan apel nya lebih dari satu]

1. Demonstrative pronoun

Adalah kata tunjuk yang berfungsi sebagai pronoun (kata ganti), jadi biasanya kata tunjuk ini berdiri sendiri.

Contoh: This is not Budi [ini bukan Budi]

That is Budi’s mother [itu adalah ibu nya Budi]

These are not my books [ini bukan lah buku-buku ku]

Those are our books [itu adalah buku-buku kita]

2. Demonstrative adjective

Adalah kata tunjuk yang di fungsikan atau diletakkan sebagai adjective (kata sifat). Ciri – cirinya kata tunjuk ini selalu menempel bersama noun (kata benda).

Contoh : This boy is Budi [anak laki- laki ini adalah Budi]

That woman is Budi’s mother [wanita itu adalah ibu nya Budi]

These books are not mine [buku – buku ini bukan milik saya]

Do you like those cars? [apakah kamu suka mobil-mobil itu]
